Tottenham fans have taken to Twitter to react after their third choice right-back, Kyle Walker-Peters, stole the show against Bournemouth.
The 21-year-old made three assists in the stunning 5-0 win over the Cherries, all of which came in the first half, in what was only his first Premier League start of the season as he battles with Kieran Trippier and Serge Aurier for a starting spot.
In Trippier’s case, the England World Cup hero has been out of sorts this season and has been heavily criticised by Spurs’ fans for some of his abject performances – although he has kept his place as Aurier has also failed to convince whilst Walker-Peters is being eased in.
However, after Wednesday’s showing against Eddie Howe’s side, a lot of the north London club’s fans are calling for the young full-back to start ahead of Trippier.
It would be a big call for Mauricio Pochettino, but one that many think he should make…
