THE BIGGER PICTURE

Maupay has just finished a loan spell with Brentford, where he spent plenty of time winding up his opponents. He had a well-documented clash with Tottenham's James Maddison in 2023-24 but will be playing his football away from London having returned to Everton on Merseyside.
