da betsul： It’s true, the winger has had a pretty tough time of it and seemed to hit rock bottom last season with him being the subject of a lot of criticism and derision.
That all culminated in him missing out on a spot in England’s EURO 2016 squad and for many, it looked as though leaving Arsenal could be the best way forward for him.
But oh, how things have changed. All credit to Walcott, as he’s taken the flak and come out the other side swinging with a number of good performances. He’s scoring goals and looks hungry for more with arguably his best performance of the season coming last night in the Champions League against Basel.
He scored two at the Emirates Stadium as the Gunners swept aside the Swiss outfit, and his showing has left Arsenal fans purring. Here’s what they’ve had to say on Twitter…
