da dobrowin: As reported by The Times, Manchester United are considering making a January transfer move for Bordeaux winger Malcom.
What’s the story?
da bet7: With the transfer window now just a couple of weeks away, supporters are eager to see what kind of moves will be made by Jose Mourinho when it opens, believing there’s still work to do to make the squad true contenders for the big trophies in English and European football.
One player on Mourinho’s radar is said to be Brazilian Malcom.
That’s according to The Times, who say the Red Devils are contemplating making a £26m move for the Ligue 1 star.
The paper say Mourinho has a budget of £80m next month and has put Malcom on his shortlist of potential targets.
Ready for the big time?
At just 20 years of age, Malcom has yet to truly test himself at the top level of the game but is showing plenty of potential at Bordeaux, demonstrating he could be ready for his big move to a European giant.
So far this season he’s scored seven goals and provided five assists in 19 appearances for the French club, the kind of attacking contribution that could make him a hit at Old Trafford, especially considering he is already doing it at a team struggling to pick up positive results in French football. Surrounded by better players he could flourish even more.
He has the ability to play on the left or right wings, making him a versatile choice for Mourinho too, who may be looking for options beyond Marcus Rashford and Anthony Martial.
With his entire career ahead of him, getting in early and securing his talent this January could be a shrewd move by the Portuguese.
