da blaze casino: Newcastle fans have been telling Michael Owen “the lack of respect is mutual” after the 38-year-old admitted his time at Newcastle was a disaster.
da aviator aposta: Owen joined Newcastle from Real Madrid in 2005, but made just 71 league appearances in four years at the club because of injuries. He did manage 26 goals in that time, but Newcastle fans certainly don’t have much love for the former England international.
“When I signed, me and Shearer were banging in goals left, right and centre,” Owen said on Sky Sports’ Premier League legends show.
“And then we were playing away at Tottenham and went in for a challenge with Paul Robinson, just trying to toeing it past him. It was never my ball to win really. As soon as I planted my foot, all of his weight came down on it and I just felt the break straight away. And that then, just led to a nightmare 18 months.”
Owen’s career was hampered by injuries, but his time at Newcastle was particularly damaged.

“I was basically two years into my Newcastle career and I’d only played six months so you can imagine the frustration among fans, among chairman, among everyone really.”
Many fans felt (and still feel) that the former Ballon d’Or winner was stealing a living at the club, and Owen admits in hindsight the deal wouldn’t have gone through.
“In hindsight the deal wouldn’t have gone through because it cost the club a lot of money and overall it wasn’t a successful time.”
Owen moved on to Manchester United, where he won a Premier League title, and later spent a year with Stoke City.
Newcastle fans have been reacting to the comments on Twitter, saying all they ask is a bit of passion, something that Owen never really showed on Tyneside.
