da apostebet: Marcus Rashford is stalling on signing a new Manchester United contract after slipping down the Old Trafford pecking order, as per the Sun.
da 888casino: The England international has just two years left on his current deal and United must sort his future out at the earliest possible juncture to avoid the risk of losing a hugely popular player among the fans.
What’s the story, then?
The report states that the forward – valued at £45m by Transfermarkt – is set to delay United’s proposed talks over a new deal due to a number of concerns.
Those concerns reportedly include the fact that Jose Mourinho looks set to embark on a busy summer of spending at Old Trafford and the fact that he is still regularly struggling to make the starting eleven.
United are apparently keen to boost Rashford’s £70,000 per week deal and while Rashford loves the club, he is keeping his options open for the time being.
Rashford is the club’s most popular player
For all of United’s spending in recent years, the emergence of Rashford has been a reminder that nothing excites fans – especially Reds fans – like one of their own breaking into the team and doing the club proud.
It is clear to see how much it means to Rashford to be playing for United and he is an incredibly popular figure among the fans – he’s essentially the club’s Harry Kane – so to run the risk of losing him is foolish.
It would be an idea to resolve the situation as quickly as possible, and if that includes certain assurances over gametime and sacrificing some underperforming galacticos, then so be it.
There are already rumblings of discontent against Mourinho – for his negative style, self-preserving attitude and constant moaning – but losing Rashford would see them ramp up several notches.
